Jesse Hardenbrook:
Jesse has come onto the seen with a bang. He took second place in his first tournament with a whopping 4 days experience. The next tournament he took first place, all with only about 2 months or less training time. Jesse is quickly becoming one of our rising stars and I have no doubt that it will continue way into the future. Great Job Jesse! Thankyou for bringing a great attitude along with a great competitive spirit to the gym.

Brian did a great job this month with all of his different training. This was the first month that Jacob and I really noticed Brian demonstrating the moves with fluidity. This is an exciting time in training, when you finally start to feel like things make sense. It is also exciting for us to get to see it first hand. Keep up the good work, this is only one time in many that you will experience a spike in your training aptitude.

Daniel really showed incredible growth as a grappler this month. Without ego, Daniel would constantly find improvement during training by trying new techniques and giving up bad positions. The increase in ability level is apparent. Daniel won his first tournament going 3-0 all by submissions and never even being behind on points. To top it off, Daniel then went with me to Hollywood to traing with Eddie Bravo and his team. Daniel displayed what we have to offer at Hit Pit MMA and I think everyone was excited to see how well we have started to grasp the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu material. Great Job! Keep up the fantastic training, the world is your huge Moses Lake Oyster!

I can't say enough about this guy. Aaron has been a great student and even better teammate. His infectious optimism and constant encouragement of his teammates is a welcome addition to any club. We are lucky to have him. Congrats Aaron. It is our pleasure to have you as the August Student of the Month.

Todd did a great job this month and continually shows improvement. Todd also managed to set the bar with an incredible attendance record. Great Job!
Hit Pit MMA Warrior of the Quarter, 2nd Quarter. April-June 2008.
Dustin "Double Dirty" Waterbly
Dustin did a great job during his 1st 4 months at Hit Pit MMA. He competed in 4 tournaments and placed in each one. Oddly enough, he placed 2nd in each tournament including the 2008 Subleague Championships in which he submitted 3 out of his 7 opponents to reach the finals. His only loss during the championships was an overtime decision loss in the best match of the division; the Finals.
Hit Pit MMA-Current Warrior of the Quarter (January 2008-March 2008)
Daniel Valdez had his first fight in February, and though it did not go as he would have liked; we were all happy with his composure and confidence during competition. It was an honor to have someone like Daniel fight for our team and we are confident that his next fight will be even better. Thanks Daniel for consistently working hard and showing an eagerness and ability to learn new material. It is with great pleasure that we award Daniel Valdez as the Hit Pit MMA's first Warrior of the Quarter!
Daniel Valdez- Gets the first win monkey off his back with a quick win via TKO. Daniel put in alot of effort in training for this fight and we were all happy to see it go his way. We look forward to his continued accomplishments in MMA and Submission Grappling.

June 2008 Hit Pit MMA student of the month
Chad Kennedy is our June student of the month. He has been training at the Hit Pit for a little over 2 months. During that time he has already competed at the 2nd Inland Northwest Jiu-jitsu tournament. Chad has shown a great work ethic and a drive to be a competitive athlete. Even when out gunned, he does not shy away from sparing and rolling with confidence and intensity. We are proud of Chad and all our students at the Hit Pit. Chad keep up the good work!!
May 2008 Hit Pit MMA student of the month
Congrats to Adam Doyea on his student of the month performance. Adam has really put in the time and it is starting to show. Adam has impressed all of us with his eagerness to learn more techniques and his exceptional effort during both Intro and Intermediate cardio sessions. Great job Adam!!!
April 2008 Hit Pit MMA student of the month
Tim Zhelez put the standard pretty hight with his April 2008 Hit Pit MMA Student of the Month performance. Tim's attendance was fantastic and his skill improvement was dramatic. We are pleased to have him in our gym and look forward to seeing him put his skills to the test in the near future. Great Job Tim and keep training hard!

Beau Clemons earns another Student of the Month award with his continued hard work and enthusiastic approach to learning. Beau has really increased his intensity and it showed as he was Hit Pit MMA's newest promotion to Intermediate MMA. Congrats Beau! Keep up the great work.
Hit Pit MMA would like to congratulate Beau Clemons on becoming the February 2008 Student of the Month. Beau showed great intensity and made almost all the practices that were available to him. In addition, Beau was recognized by more than one of the boxers as having made great improvement in his stand up striking skills. Beau's dedication to practice and vast improvement in abilities is what makes him the Hit Pit MMA's Student of the Month. Congrats Beau!
